SUMMARY

Ballast Investments (“Ballast” or “The Company”) is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Operations / Systems vertical. Under the general supervision of the Vice President, Systems Solutions, the Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the data stored across our suite of interconnected software systems. Additionally, the data analyst will help coordinate across departments, and with various teams, to maintain the operations of the company.

The Company is a vertically-integrated owner-operator of multifamily, student housing, and single family rental assets in the greater Western United States. The Company has several strategic partnerships with global institutional capital providers and has experienced strong growth since its founding in 2014.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Pull and manage source data from Yardi, Procore, and Monday systems utilized to create reports and manage company operations
• Data Input: Enter data into the database or system with speed and accuracy, ensuring information is correct and up to date
• Data Verification: Review and compare data entries against source documents to ensure accuracy; correct any discrepancies
• Quality Assurance: Consistently maintain a high level of data accuracy, spotting errors and inconsistencies
• Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to understand and fulfill data entry requirements
• Maintain, generate, understand, troubleshoot and distribute:
  • Existing and new Excel reports that utilize formulas and functions.
  • Existing and new Tableau reports.
• Work on special projects, compliance reporting, and other duties as requested by the Records Management Administrator, Asset Management team and Company management

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Information Systems, Business, or a related field of study
• Understanding of data management and processes
• Tactical experience utilizing Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or equivalent business intelligence software to generate reports from multiple data sets
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
• Basic knowledge / understanding of SQL and Python a plus
• Real Estate experience a plus

• Detail oriented and able to manage a large volume of data with speed and accuracy
• Able to plan, organize, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
• Capable of managing multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to condense complex ideas and articulate them in a professional manner
• Very strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
• Real estate, architecture, construction, or property management experience a plus
• Procore or Yardi experience a plus
